Police in Oklahoma are searching for a child who vanished three years ago after her mother allegedly gave her to a man selling her drugs, according to reports.
The Moore Police Department has been investigating the disappearance of London Kerr, who has reportedly been missing since she was 2 years old. The child would be 5 years old right now.
Her mother, identified as Ashley Rowland, was taken into custody for child desertion in connection to this case in October and accused of giving Kerr to a man during a drug exchange, local news reported.
The details came to light when the state Department of Health couldn’t locate the baby in April 2023 during a pickup order, resulting in them contacting Rowland, according to KOKH and KOCO-TV citing court records.
Per the reports, Rowland initially said that the baby was with her father in Georgia, but officials found out her story was not true.

When speaking to investigators, she allegedly confessed that she gave her to a man identified as Carlos, who she brought methamphetamine from in 2022, the outlets reported. That’s the last time she also saw Kerr.
She also told them that Carlos claimed he was going to Mexico at the time.
Search for London Kerr: Police look for information related to the child’s whereabouts
Moore police said investigators have been searching for clues to track Kerr down.
“Since Rowland’s arrest, Moore Police and Detectives have searched multiple properties, storage units, and electronic devices regarding London’s birth certificates, social security information, clothing, toys, or anything that could lead to identifying London or her whereabouts,” the department said in a press release.
Despite their efforts, they have only been able to obtain photos of her. The department has formally tapped the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to help them with this case.
“The Moore Police Department has done everything in its power to locate London within our jurisdiction and plans to file additional charges related to the disappearance of London Kerr,” the department explained.
On Wednesday, a spokesperson told USA TODAY that Kerr has been added to the National Crime Information Center(NCIC).
According to reports, Rowland has bonded out of jail.
