Cowboys rule WR CeeDee Lamb out for rest of season with shoulder injury

CeeDee Lamb’s sesaon has come to an end.

The Dallas Cowboys announced Thursday that the wide receiver has been ruled out for the rest of the year with an ongoing shoulder injury. Lamb will miss the final two games of the regular season for the Cowboys, who have been eliminated from the postseason.

Lamb originally hurt his shoulder in November, but continued playing through it. Per a statement from the Cowboys, tests showed that Lamb’s injury had gotten worse, and that he required treatment. As of now, he will not undergo surgery, per the team.

Lamb and the Cowboys agreed to a four-year, $136 million extension in August, keeping the 25-year-old receiver in Dallas for the long term.

Despite his injury, Lamb’s production has still been strong, with the receiver racking up 1,194 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games.

Despite a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend, the Cowboys are 7-8 and have been eliminated from the playoffs. Dallas has struggled with injuries, with quarterback Dak Prescott still recovering from a season-ending hamstring injury.
