Eight bathrooms with chunky sculptural stone sinks

Rough-hewn stone basins and smooth marble sinks are featured in our latest lookbook, which showcases bathrooms with monumental stone sinks.

Stone basins, whether made from marble, travertine or more rustic unpolished stone, are often used in hotels and restaurant bathrooms since they add a luxury feel, but can also create impactful designs in residential interiors.

Here, we have collected eight stone sinks in homes and venues from Mexico to Poland.

This is the latest in our lookbooks series, which provides visual inspiration from Dezeen’s archive. For more inspiration, see previous lookbooks featuring low-light bedrooms and interiors with gold and silver accents.

Marble was chosen throughout the home to “provide the space with a sober and contemporary atmosphere”. The basin’s dark hue matches the rest of the moody bathroom, which is lined in green quartzite.
