I Switched My Kid To Hiya Vitamins & Here’s My Honest Review

As a mom, something that genuinely keeps me up at night is whether my little ones are getting the right nutrition for their development and active lifestyles. My days are filled with mental checklists: Did they eat enough? Did they eat well? Is their diet balanced? These worries led me to not only obsess over learning more kid-friendly recipes but, more recently, introducing my three-year-old to the habit of taking a daily multivitamin.

I started with a gummy version that doubled as a treat for my picky toddler. It worked — almost too well. He loved it like candy, and I later realized it made sense once I saw sugar on its ingredient list. After a visit to the dentist revealed my son also had slight plaque buildup, I realized gummies might not be it. With a little research, I came upon Hiya which offers sugar-free, chewable tablets with even more essential nutrients than the gummy vitamins. I decided to make the switch. Read on to see how it measured up.

Switching To A Chewable Was Way Easier Than I Thought

For starters, Hiya’s Multivitamin impressed me immediately when I learned it contains 15+ essential nutrients like vitamins A, C, D, E, B12, and zinc — far more than what we’d been using. I love that they have fruit and veggie blends on the ingredient list, like organic beet, blueberry, and kale and more. Plus, they undergo rigorous third-party heavy metal testing, with every single batch checked for contaminants — something that is super important to me as a mom. Though I was afraid I got my son into such a routine with his gummy vitamins that he might fight me on the switch — especially one with no sugar — to my pleasant surprise, he was excited to try the chewable tablet and liked it! The only sweetener blend in it contains monk fruit extract which is 100 times sweeter so it still tastes great. With no added sugar, preservatives, or dyes, and a formula designed to avoid sticking to teeth, we were off to a promising start.

The Limited-Edition Bottles Were A Hit

I couldn’t have underestimated how much joy an exciting collab could be for my LO. When I unboxed Hiya’s Daily Multivitamin x Hot Wheels collab, my son’s eyes widened at the sight of the car-themed sticker packs and immediately went to work personalizing his refillable glass jar (and OK, the rest of our furniture). They also have a Barbie collab, complete with a hot pink jar, and trust me when I say kids get so excited over the fun details.

Their Immune Support Is Clutch For The Holidays

After seeing how well my son was taking to his new vitamins, I enlisted the help of their new Daily Immune chewables. It’s specifically designed to support young kids’ growing immune systems. Winter season is always a dreaded time for parents, and if you’re like me with kids in daycare, it can be anxiety-inducing when your kids are around so many other kids. On top of that, we have a slew of holiday gatherings and travel coming up, so I started integrating Hiya’s Daily Immune early on. I’ll say this: Around this time last year, my son had already stayed back home multiple times. So far, he’s somehow escaped falling under the weather and I’d like to think that incessantly washing hands, staying warm, and taking these vitamins have been helping keep him healthy.

My Experimenting Continued Into Bedtime Essentials

Sleep has always been a sore point for my three-year-old. He fights bedtime and if anything, he would get almost extra hyper closer to it. I decided to see if Hiya’s Bedtime Essentials would make a difference. What gave me ease was that it’s a non-habit forming chewable that helps kids relax without melatonin or added sugar. Instead, it has calming ingredients like magnesium, L-theanine, and chamomile flower extract that helps support focus and brain health. I’ve started introducing it slowly after dinner, and what I have noticed so far is that he’s winding down easier, and waking up happy and refreshed.

My Son Is Obsessed With Their Green Powder

You mean to tell me there’s a way to get your kid to have a serving of their daily greens, but it tastes like chocolate? It seemed almost too good to be true. Hiya’s Daily Greens + Superfood powder has 55 whole-food sourced ingredients, and seemed like such a fun, easy way to sneak in his greens so I needed to give it a try. I mixed a scoop with a cup of milk, and held my breath as my son took his first sip. He immediately looked up at me and said, “Mmmm! It tastes good, Mom!” We haven’t looked back since. Now, he asks for it every day, calling it his ‘coffee chocolate milk’ because I use my frother to blend it, just like my iced coffee (no caffeine in his version though, of course).

All in all, I’m super impressed with Hiya and how much my three-year-old genuinely loves all the products he’s tried so far. It feels like every single product was formulated with such care to quality and its benefits for kids. It’s now part of my son’s daily routine, and I have a happier kid for it. For me, I sleep a little better knowing that he’s getting a much broader range of essential nutrients in one easy tablet. A win all around.
