Patrick Peterson to announce Day 2 picks for Arizona Cardinals at NFL draft

Patrick Peterson will continue to be in the Cardinals’ spotlight at the NFL draft

Patrick Peterson just announced his retirement this week and has been feeling the love from the organization. He has enjoyed the spotlight for a career that could land him in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He will enjoy a little but more spotlight next week in the 2025 NFL draft.

The league announced which team legends will be announcing draft picks on Day 2 of the draft on Friday, April 25.

For the Arizona Cardinals, it will be Peterson. Peterson will make the announcement for the Cardinals’ two Day 2 picks. They have picks in the second and third rounds, Nos. 47 and 78 overall.

Peterson joins two former Cardinals as legends to announce picks. In addition to Peterson, John Abraham, who played for the Cardinals in 2013 and part of 2014, will make the Day 2 announcements for the New York Giants. It is the 25th anniversary of the 2000 draft, when Abraham was drafted.

Also making a Day 2 announcement is Simeon Rice, who was drafted in the first round by the Cardinals in 1996 and played five seasons for them before six with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He will announce a pick for the Bucs.
