The second season of SYFY’s comedic vampire series Reginald the Vampire has just ended, and the show will not be back for any more episodes.
TVLine broke the news that SYFY has not renewed the series, which is based on the Fat Vampire books by Johnny B. Truant. The show stars Jacob Batalon as the titular vampire named Reginald, as well as Mandela Van Peebles as Maurice Miller, Em Haine as Sarah Kinney, Savannah Basley as Angela, Aren Buchholz as Todd, Marguerite Hanna as Ashley, and Thailey Roberge as Claire.
Here’s the synopsis, if you aren’t familiar with the show:
The cancellation of Reginald and the moving of Resident Alien to the USA network leaves only two original series left at SYFY: Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner’s series The Ark, and SurrealEstate starring Wynonna Earp alum Tim Rozon. SYFY also “shares” the horror series Chucky with USA.
The move begs the question of whether SYFY will remain in the original series business. What SYFY’s future entails, however, remains a question mark.
