The sequel to 2016’s Zootopia is almost here, and everyone’s favorite fox-bunny duo is coming back to the big screen, this time to solve a sssssneaky mystery.
The official synopsis lays it out:
Judy and Nick find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, they must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
We got an adorable, music video-esque teaser today, which gives us a look at all our favorite characters from the first film as well as our new reptilian friend, Gary.
Byron Howard, who co-directs with film with Jared Bush, lays out the origins of the song we hear: “The trailer features the original song ‘ZUTU’ by Zootopia’s finest lemming techno group, LEMEEENS. Fresh from touring with superstar Gazelle as her opening act, members Hans-Peter, Gūnther, Spielt and their DJ, Spaß, created the song to mark the occasion and welcome the world back to the City of Zootopia!”
Ginnifer Goodwin is back voicing Judy Hopps, with Jason Bateman once again playing the vulpine Nick Wilde. Gary De’Snake is voiced by Ke Huy Quan, with other characters voiced by Quinta Brunson and Fortune Feimster, and Shakira reprising her role as Gazelle.
Zootopia 2 premieres in theaters on November 26, 2025.
